Our Story

Weber Garage is the result of taking ideas scribbled on scraps of paper and exploring what is possible.  Hasty sketches on sticky notes are turned into products we wear and use ourselves.

The Beginning

The idea to start a business selling t-shirts with designs made by us and pressed in our own work space along with other gear made out of our backyard garage seemed like a fun side project.  Excuses of family and work kept pushing the idea to the side, yet I kept making sketches on scraps of paper with the idea to one day make them a reality and fulfill the urge to have a creative outlet and produce a tangible object.

Piecing together small chunks of time my ideas marinated and turned into plans that evolved into action.  With zero prior experience in sales, fashion or running a business, a sense of zero free-time to enjoy life but a little encouragement from my family, I went for it.  I cleared off some space on a workbench, ordered some shirts, pulled out the circular saw and cut up the shirts.  Then I ordered more shirts to replace my new rags and warmed up the heat press to fuse my designs onto the shirts*.

The products I make reflect who I am and my passions. I am honored when my kids groan at my corny dad jokes.  I am honored when you enjoy what I've created.

Handmade with Love

Here at Weber Garage every item sold is touched by my family.  American made materials are sourced whenever possible, including all shirt blanks, lumber and finishes.  Every shirt design is our own and is hand pressed. Wooden items are cut, sanded and finished by hand in our home shop, basement, driveway or kitchen table.

A Sign on the Wall

The Weber Garage sign was made years before the business opened its doors.  Inspired by long gone business names painted on the sides of brick buildings in historic sections of downtown Baltimore, I grabbed some wood and paint and made the sign to give the garage I built some character.  When deciding on a business name I wanted to convey who is behind the products and where they're made.  Other name ideas just kept coming back to what was already on the wall - Weber Garage.  We make the stuff at our place, though to be honest it's not always in the garage.

Meet the Owner, Jeremy

I would consider myself an ordinary dad blessed and cursed by an ordinary life.  My beautiful wife, three kids and I live in suburbia a few miles west of Baltimore. As a full time engineer my days are filled with spreadsheets and system analysis while creative ideas are sketched out on scraps of paper and saved for later.  In my free time I love riding my bike, spending time outside, doing home-improvement projects, tinkering in the garage and sharing my skills and passion with my family and friends.

* No, I didn't actually cut up any shirts. That'd be silly.
